Han Suk Kyu And Bae Hyeon Seong Show Contrasting Negotiation Tactics In New Drama "Shin's Project"
tvN’s upcoming drama “Shin’s Project” has unveiled a new poster featuring Han Suk Kyu and Bae Hyeon Seong! “Shin’s Project” is a comedy series that follows the story of Mr. Shin, a man who takes it upon himself to mediate conflicts and assist people through seemingly unwinnable situations. Han Suk Kyu stars as Mr. Shin, a former legendary negotiator who now runs a modest chicken restaurant. He willingly rushes into every conflict, settles problems, and delivers justice as a neighborhood hero. Bae Hyeon Seong plays Jo Philip, who works at Mr. Shin’s fried chicken restaurant. The newly released poster highlights the teamwork between Mr. Shin and Jo Philip, who will do whatever it takes to solve problems by any means necessary. Against the familiar backdrop of a fried chicken restaurant, Mr. Shin and Jo Philip are seated at a negotiation table in matching black suits and sunglasses with serious expressions. Instead of relying on the law, Mr. Shin leads negotiations in his own way, overpowering his opponent and taking control of the discussion with a furrowed brow. In his hand, he holds a fried chicken coupon and a photo card featuring Jo Philip’s face, suggesting that Mr. Shin will stop at nothing to solve problems—even using charm or bending the rules if necessary. In contrast, Jo Philip, who was always first in his class starting from grade school through his days in the police academy and law school before eventually being appointed a judge, presents the image of a textbook negotiator with a notebook and fountain pen in hand. Drawing on his extensive legal knowledge, he seeks to resolve disputes by following the law. With his strong commitment to doing things by the book, how will Jo Philip handle the many conflicts that cannot be settled by legal interpretation alone? After unexpectedly crossing paths as a fried chicken restaurant owner and employee, Mr. Shin and Jo Philip strike up a partnership while each working to resolve the world’s conflicts in their own way. Their poster’s tagline declares, “We’ll resolve it for you no matter what!” “Shin’s Project” is set to premiere on September 15 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
Go Hyun Jung Talks About Her Decision To Star In Upcoming Drama "Queen Mantis"
Go Hyun Jung has shared her thoughts on her upcoming drama “Queen Mantis”! A remake of the French series “La Mante,” “Queen Mantis” is a crime thriller starring Go Hyun Jung as Jung Yi Shin, a famous serial killer nicknamed “The Mantis” who brutally murdered five men 20 years ago and has been imprisoned ever since. When a new serial killer emerges, copying The Mantis’s distinctive style, the police approach Jung Yi Shin for her assistance in solving the case. Jang Dong Yoon plays detective Cha Soo Yeol, who must work alongside his mother Jung Yi Shin, whom he has despised his entire life. When asked why she chose to appear in the drama, Go Hyun Jung said, “The project itself was very appealing. Once I got drawn into the intriguing story that unfolds in each episode, I lost track of time.” She added, “Writer Lee Young Jong’s tightly woven narrative was very immersive, and I was curious to see what kind of synergy would emerge when combined with director Byun Young Joo’s skill in bringing it to life on screen.” Go Hyun Jung went on to emphasize, “As an actress, I have always wanted to participate in good projects, so I decided to appear in ‘Queen Mantis’ with joy and without hesitation.” Go Hyun Jung also expressed great satisfaction with her experience working together with Byun Young Joo, remarking, “Director Byun Young Joo perfectly balances strong leadership with her unique wit.” She continued, “Her extensive experience translated into precise direction, resulting in a more polished final product. Her charisma, which guided the entire set, also served as moral support for the ‘Queen Mantis’ team. At the end of filming, she made us laugh with her humor. I gained positive energy from the director, which further motivated me to give my all during the filming.” “Queen Mantis” premieres on September 5 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
Watch: Lee Joo Myung Reunites With Her Unrequited First Love Seo Ji Hoon In New Teaser For "My Youth"
JTBC’s upcoming drama “My Youth” has unveiled a new teaser highlighting the chemistry between Lee Joo Myung and Seo Ji Hoon! “My Youth” is a romance drama that tells the story of Sunwoo Hae (Song Joong Ki), who begins to live an ordinary life later than most people, and Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee), who must disrupt her first love’s tranquility for her own success. Later, her first love, Kim Seok Joo, suddenly reappears in her life, approaching the flustered Tae Rin and saying, “I told you not to go around alone, honey.” It is then revealed that, at 18, hearing Seok Joo’s voice echoing from the school broadcast room was Tae Rin’s only source of comfort, stirring memories of her first love. Lee Min Ki Handcuffs Lee Bo Young During Tense Standoff In “Mary Kills People”
MBC’s “Mary Kills People” has released new stills teasing a tense confrontation in the upcoming episode! A remake of the Canadian series of the same name, MBC’s “Mary Kills People” stars Lee Bo Young as Woo So Jung, a doctor who illegally provides euthanasia to patients with incurable illnesses. Spoilers In the previous episode, Woo So Jung’s shocking past came to light: she was once suspected of murdering her mother, who had been battling cancer, and this revelation exposed the moment that led her to embrace assisted death. Despite Ban Ji Hoon’s (Lee Min Ki) repeated warnings to stop, So Jung remained resolute in her decision. The newly released stills capture the moment Woo So Jung is finally handcuffed by Ban Ji Hoon. Just as she confirms the death of patient Lee Yoon Hee (Yang Jo Ah), who had been suffering from excruciating pain, Ji Hoon bursts into the room. Without hesitation, he snaps handcuffs around her wrists, while So Jung returns his gaze with a mix of fear and steely determination. The scene sets the stage for a fierce showdown between Woo So Jung, who carries a conviction and sense of duty toward assisted death, and Ban Ji Hoon, who is determined to arrest her and uphold the law. Will So Jung be taken away in handcuffs, or will their conflict spiral into an even more explosive confrontation? The production team remarked, “Please stay tuned to see whether Ban Ji Hoon will be able to extract a confession from Woo So Jung—and what fate awaits them both.” The next episode of “Mary Kills People” will air on August 22 at 10 p.m. KST.

Disney+’s upcoming drama “Tempest” has unveiled new stills of Lee Sang Hee and Joo Jong Hyuk! “Tempest” follows Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a renowned UN ambassador who sets out to uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, and San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of unknown nationality who must protect her, as they confront a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula. Lee Sang Hee stars as Yeo Mi Ji, Moon Ju’s loyal aide. Having lived abroad with Moon Ju since her days as a diplomat, Mi Ji shares a deep bond with her. She is defined by unwavering trust and respect for Moon Ju, willing to follow her into even the most dangerous situations without hesitation. Lee Sang Hee shared, “I even hand-copied our nation’s Constitution, thinking it might help me embody a character who walks toward an ideal together with others. ‘Tempest’ is a project that fills me with pride just to be a part of.” Joo Jong Hyuk takes on the role of Park Chang Hee, Moon Ju’s chief of security. An elite graduate of the police academy and former ace of the Cyber Investigation Bureau, Chang Hee boasts an impressive career. After the assassination attempt on the presidential candidate, he becomes solely responsible for Moon Ju’s safety. Striving for perfection against the ongoing threats surrounding her, he grows wary when San Ho, the newly appointed head of a separate security team, begins to draw too close to Moon Ju. If in the past I’ve shown a freer and more playful side, this time I focused on delivering a more restrained and emotionless performance.” “Tempest” will premiere with three episodes on September 10, followed by two new episodes weekly starting September 17, for a total of nine episodes.
