The stars of JTBC’s “The Nice Guy” have shared their thoughts ahead of this week’s series finale! With just two episodes of the drama left to go, Lee Dong Wook expressed his gratitude to the show’s viewers by saying, “Thank you for watching ‘The Nice Guy’ during this sweltering summer. Because I did my best, I hope that you’ll remember it warmly, even if I was lacking in some ways.” “I’d like to sincerely thank my fellow actors, the director, and the staff,” he continued. “I hope that you’ll spend what remains of the summer in good health.” Meanwhile, Lee Sung Kyung expressed her regret that the drama was ending, sharing, “I’m so sad that I have to say goodbye to [my character] Mi Young already. I hope that the viewers will also root for Mi Young up until the very end.” “Every moment I spent on the filming set was a precious memory,” the actress went on. “I hope that this drama will remain a good memory for viewers this summer.” As for what viewers should keep an eye on in the final two episodes, Lee Sung Kyung teased, “Keep an eye on what kind of choice Mi Young will make when faced with reality, love, and fate. I think you’ll be able to relate [to her situation] even more if you watch the drama while pondering what kind of decision you would make if you were Mi Young.” The final two episodes of “The Nice Guy” will air consecutively on August 29 starting at 8:50 p.m. KST.

Bae Hyeon Seong And Lee Re Dish On Their Roles In Han Suk Kyu's New Drama "Shin's Project"

Bae Hyeon Seong and Lee Re have shared their thoughts on their upcoming drama “Shin’s Project”! tvN’s “Shin’s Project” is a new drama starring Han Suk Kyu as Mr. Shin, a former legendary negotiator who now runs a modest chicken restaurant while hiding a mysterious secret. A neighborhood hero who takes it upon himself to mediate conflicts and assist people through seemingly unwinnable situations, Mr. Shin willingly jumps into other people’s conflicts to settle their problems and deliver justice. Bae Hyeon Seong will play principled rookie judge Jo Philip, while Lee Re will play resourceful delivery driver Lee Si On. Despite their polar-opposite personalities, the two wind up working together at Mr. Shin’s fried chicken restaurant, where they become the trusty allies of their new boss. When describing the charm of “Shin’s Project,” both actors named “conflict resolution methods” as an intriguing premise that is unique to the drama. “I was fascinated by the ordinary conflicts that can often be seen in everyday life, as well as the process of resolving them,” recalled Bae Hyeon Seong. “I also thought that I’d be able to show a new side of myself [through the drama] that I hadn’t shown before, which made me excited.” Explaining how he prepared for his role as a judge, Bae Hyeon Seong revealed, “I wanted to look professional at least when I was talking about the law. So before filming started, I attended a court observation class and personally met with a lawyer to receive advice.” Meanwhile, Lee Re described the character of Lee Si On as “a character that looks cold and aloof on the outside, but is actually warmer and sturdier than anyone on the inside.” She continued, “I discussed the idea of each character displaying their unique personality and traits through color, and we decided to convey Lee Si On’s identity through a bold red or eye-catching color.” Just like Bae Hyeon Seong, Lee Re also went to great lengths to prepare for her role. “Since I’m playing an experienced delivery driver, I needed to look natural riding a scooter,” she said. “Before [filming], I practiced consistently in order to get used to it.” Describing Jo Philip as being “half T, half F” in terms of his MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality type, Bae Hyeon Seong shared, “He’s similar to my real-life personality in the way we empathize with other people’s emotions, but also make decisions rationally.” As for what Lee Re had in common with her character, she commented, “Han Suk Kyu really felt like a dad. When we were together, he gave me strength and made me feel reassured, and I think these feelings came about because I was starting to resemble Lee Si On more and more.” Finally, both actors chose a type of fried chicken that they thought best fit their characters. Bae Hyeon Seong remarked, “Plain fried chicken that hasn’t been tossed with sauce has the honest, original taste of chicken. Jo Philip, who believes strongly in abiding by the law, is like that kind of honest, original fried chicken.” Meanwhile, Lee Re chose “spicy chicken that might be difficult to approach, but once you get hooked, has a charm that’s hard to escape.” “Mr. Shin” will premiere on September 15 at 8:50 p.m. KST. Jo Aram Is A YOLO Gen Z Employee Who Spends Freely In Upcoming Drama “To The Moon”

MBC’s upcoming drama “To the Moon” has shared a sneak peek of Jo Aram in character! Based on the novel of the same name, “To the Moon” tells the survival story of three working-class women who struggle to live on their salaries and turn to cryptocurrency investing. The cast includes Lee Sun Bin as Jung Da Hae, Ra Mi Ran as Kang Eun Sang, Jo Aram as Kim Ji Song, and Kim Young Dae as Ham Ji Woo. Jo Aram plays Kim Ji Song, a non-regular employee in the accounting team at Maron Confectionery. Representing Gen Z’s “YOLO” lifestyle, Ji Song struggles with credit card debt yet continues to spend freely on shopping, dating, and hobbies. Living paycheck to paycheck, she faces a dilemma when her colleague Da Hae jumps on the cryptocurrency bandwagon at Eun Sang’s suggestion—leaving Ji Song to wonder if she should follow suit. The stills of Jo Aram highlight Kim Ji Song’s wide-ranging charm. In a jewelry shop, she places a hand on her chest with an overwhelmed expression, while in the office, she draws attention with her innocence as she struggles to hold back laughter after secretly slacking off during work. When the heel of her new shoes breaks, she wears a devastated look as if her world has collapsed, further enhancing the quirky, yet lovable appeal of her character. The production team said, “It’s like Jo Aram has found a character that brings out her natural charm as an actress. Like Ji Song, who brightens the story with her cheerful personality, Jo Aram was an energizer and a source of vitality on set. Her chemistry with senior actors, including Lee Sun Bin and Ra Mi Ran, was especially remarkable. We hope audiences will watch Jo Aram’s new challenge with great interest and anticipation.” “To the Moon” is set to premiere on September 19 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
