Upcoming film “Salmokji” (literal title) has released its first teaser! “Salmokji” is a horror film about a production crew sent to a reservoir to reshoot Salmokji road-view footage after an unidentified figure was spotted in their initial footage. There, they encounter a mysterious presence lurking in the dark, deep water. The teaser vividly captures the rising terror surrounding the seven crew members. It begins with Onroad Media producer Su In (Kim Hye Yoon) looking terrified as she says, “It’s Salmokji,” and continues with Se Jeong (Jang Da A), the operator of a horror-themed streaming channel, saying, “It’s been known for a long time as a place where you can encounter the dead,” setting an eerie tone. The calm is brief: unknown voices spill from a ghost box, and stones clash in the forest. Tension builds as Kyung Tae (Kim Young Sung) is dragged away by a mysterious presence, Kyung Joon (Oh Dong Min) races toward the reservoir, and Sung Bin (Yoon Jae Chan) watches in fear as Kyo Sik (Kim Jun Han) stacks stone towers. Ki Tae (Lee Jong Won), who follows Su In to Salmokji, becomes trapped in swamp-like terror. As they try to escape, they circle aimlessly like a broken GPS, heightening the suspense. The trailer ends with a chilling voice saying, “You can’t get out there alive,” delivering an unrelenting sense of absolute horror. “Salmokji” is set to hit theaters on April 8.

“The King’s Warden” is off to a strong start at the box office! Ever since its release on February 4, the new historical film starring Park Ji Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin has enjoyed an uninterrupted five-day streak at No. 1 at the Korean box office. On February 9, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before (February 8), “The King’s Warden” had officially reached a total of 1,118,508 moviegoers—meaning that it took just five days to hit the 1 million mark. “The King’s Warden” is the first Korean film to center on the story of King Danjong (Park Ji Hoon), the sixth king of Joseon. After ascending the throne at age 12, Danjong was ultimately dethroned by his uncle Grand Prince Suyang and exiled to Cheongnyeongpo in Gangwon Province, where he met his tragic end. Set in 1457, the film follows village chief Eom Heung Do (Yoo Hae Jin), who voluntarily transforms his village into an exile site to revitalize its future, and the unexpected bond he forms with the young dethroned king. According to The Numbers, the film—which features footage from Stray Kids’ concert at SoFi Stadium in California—grossed $3.2 million in ticket sales from 1,724 North American theaters on Friday alone. It’s official: DAY6’s Young K is joining the cast of tvN’s “Amazing Saturday”! On February 6, tvN confirmed reports that Young K had joined the popular variety show as a new member of the fixed cast. “Young K is joining ‘Amazing Saturday’ as a fixed member,” stated a representative of the network. “He is currently in the midst of filming.” Young K’s first episode of “Amazing Saturday,” which is being filmed today, will air on February 28. The star-studded cast of “Amazing Saturday” currently includes Shin Dong Yup, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Block B’s P.O, Moon Se Yoon, Kim Dong Hyun, Boom, Nucksal, and Hanhae. Both Park Na Rae and SHINee’s Key stepped down from the show this past December.
