“Phantom Lawyer” Teases Distinct Personalities And Teamwork Through Animal Symbolism
“Phantom Lawyer” has introduced its characters by comparing them to animals, reflecting the drama’s Eastern-inspired worldview. “Phantom Lawyer” is a quirky yet heartwarming legal drama that follows the adventures of Shin I Rang (Yoo Yeon Seok), a lawyer who can see ghosts, and elite attorney Han Na Hyun (Esom) as they resolve the lingering grievances of their very unusual clients—ghosts—through the law. Ahead of its premiere, the drama interprets the instincts and personalities of its characters, including the two lawyers and those around them, through animal traits. The production team explained, “We used animal comparisons to present each character’s traits more intuitively. Watching characters with completely different personalities clash and grow together will be one of the drama’s biggest charms.” First, the “possessed lawyer” Shin I Rang resembles a squirrel—warm-hearted and deeply empathetic. Unable to ignore the resentment of the dead, he lets emotion guide him more than calculation when faced with injustice. Though usually cheerful, he springs into action in moments of crisis, overflowing with curiosity, responsibility, and energy. Treating cases as matters of people rather than work, his unwavering dedication becomes a driving force of the story. In contrast, Taebaek Law Firm’s star attorney Han Na Hyun is an eagle who reads the bigger picture from above. She prioritizes data over emotion and strategy over instinct. Once she sets a goal, she pursues it with sharp focus and relentless determination. The evolving relationship between impulsive Shin I Rang and strategic Han Na Hyun—who clash before ultimately becoming partners—is a key point to watch. Yang Do Kyung (Kim Kyung Nam), who leads Taebaek Law Firm, is likened to a raccoon who enjoys competition. Behind his easy smile lies careful calculation, and while he appears spontaneous, he has a sharp sense for timing, creating tension with his clever maneuvering. Yoon Bong Soo (Jeon Seok Ho), Shin I Rang’s brother-in-law and office manager, is a bee—constantly busy and keeping the firm running through practical work and organization. Not a flashy hero, but someone whose absence would quickly disrupt balance. Father Matteo (Jung Seung Gil) is compared to a sheep with claws—gentle yet firm at his core. Though calm and observant, he reveals strong convictions when necessary, serving as another pillar connected to Shin I Rang’s worldview. Newly released stills also show Shin I Rang, Yoon Bong Soo, and Father Matteo working together to solve a case, raising anticipation for how their teamwork will shape the story. Lastly, Shin I Rang’s mother Park Kyung Hwa (Kim Mi Kyung) is a tiger—unshaken by emotion and fiercely strong. Having raised her son while running a butcher shop with unwavering toughness, she commands attention with her blunt honesty and resolute personality. Beneath her tough exterior, however, lies deep kindness and devoted love, leaving viewers curious about how she will react upon learning that her son works alongside ghosts. SBS’s new Friday–Saturday drama “Phantom Lawyer” will premiere on March 13 at 9:50 p.m. KST.

Shin Ye Eun may be taking on the lead role in the upcoming drama “High School Queen” (literal title)! On February 26, Sports Chosun reported that Shin Ye Eun will star as the female lead in the new drama “High School Queen.” Her agency npio Entertainment responded, “She has received an offer to appear in the new drama ‘High School Queen’ and is currently reviewing it.” Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “High School Queen” follows Kim Chung Ha, the queen of Joseon and its greatest swordswoman, who is reincarnated as modern-day high school student Park Da Jin. Armed with her Joseon-era martial arts skills, she takes down school bullies, delivering a satisfying sense of catharsis. Previously, production company Studio Dragon shared, “We are developing ‘High School Queen’ as a long-form drama. An Woo Yeon Transforms Into A Self-Made Game Company CEO In New Medical Thriller Drama
TV CHOSUN’s upcoming weekend miniseries “Doctor Shin” (literal title) has unveiled the first stills of An Woo Yeon in character! “Doctor Shin” is a medical thriller that follows a brilliant doctor who pushes medicine beyond limits once considered the domain of God, and a woman whose brain is suddenly damaged overnight, causing her to gradually lose her soul. Centered on the unusual romance surrounding a top star who falls into a coma after a tragic accident—along with the man who once loved her and the man who still loves her—the drama unfolds a bold narrative that explores love and desire, taboo and sacrifice. An Woo Yeon plays Ha Yong Joong, a successful game developer. Ha Yong Joong is the CEO of a game company who became self-made by creating a game that became a mega hit in record time. He is a character with sensible charisma, sophisticated looks, and a warm, thoughtful personality. The stills show Ha Yong Joong with a confident, bright smile as the CEO of a game company. He smiles at a meal and raises a toast, and he takes phone calls even during a home workout. The images give a glimpse of the busy life of a young CEO. With wealth, fame, and talent, viewers are eager to see what fate awaits Ha Yong Joong. An Woo Yeon said, “I think many people, including myself, know the reputation of writer Im Sung Han (also known as Phoebe). After an eight-hour audition, I, along with other actors, heard directly from the writer about the casting. When the writer said we would be ‘the leads who will carry Doctor Shin,’ I felt a mix of excitement and concern about whether I could handle such a work by the famous writer Im Sung Han. At the same time, I felt ambition and resolved to do my best with such excellent writing. Even though it has been nearly a year, I still vividly remember the day I was cast as a lead.” An Woo Yeon continued, “Ha Yong Joong is a man of great presence and gravitas, the CEO of a game company who has been developing games since he was young and achieved success. I studied a lot and consulted with the writer to prepare for the role. On the outside, I styled my hair in a masculine way, with two strands left down to show a free-spirited side. I also took voice training and paid close attention to my tone to make it deeper. On the inside, I worked hard to portray a polite, gentlemanly CEO who has both wealth and fame, including learning etiquette at fine dining restaurants.” The production team commented, “An Woo Yeon is constantly reflecting and analyzing as he performs the role of Ha Yong Joong. Please look forward to him reaching the peak of his career-defining performance through his solid, fully developed range of acting.” “Doctor Shin” will premiere on March 14 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
Roh Jeong Eui And Bae In Hyuk Care For Their Sick Nephew Amid Rising Tensions In “Our Universe”
“Our Universe” has unveiled new stills ahead of tonight’s broadcast! “Our Universe” is a romance drama that follows Sun Tae Hyung (Bae In Hyuk) and Woo Hyun Jin (Roh Jeong Eui), two in-laws who harbor deep misunderstandings about each other but unexpectedly end up raising their nephew Woo Joo together. After moving in under the same roof, they embark on a journey of personal growth and blossoming romance. Spoilers In the previous episode, Sun Tae Hyung struggled with conflicting emotions following the sudden reappearance of his father, Sun Gyu Tae (Ryu Seung Soo). Although Sun Gyu Tae reached out, saying he wanted to finally be a proper father, Tae Hyung—still carrying deep childhood wounds—responded with harsh words and turned away coldly. Meanwhile, Tae Hyung and Woo Hyun Jin grew closer as they comforted each other’s scars, while Park Yoon Sung’s (Park Seo Ham) straightforward confession to Woo Hyun Jin added further anticipation for what lies ahead. The newly revealed photos capture Woo Joo, whose body is suddenly covered in a severe red rash. Sun Gyu Tae carefully tends to him, lowering his temperature with a cold towel, while Tae Hyung watches with visibly shaken eyes. As Tae Hyung and Hyun Jin try to soothe the tearful child, Sun Gyu Tae looks on with a faint smile. Now lingering around Yuseong Villa in hopes of reaching his son, viewers are left wondering whether Sun Gyu Tae will finally be able to break through Tae Hyung’s firmly closed heart. Another set of stills captures Woo Hyun Jin and Park Yoon Sung on a picnic date, sitting across from each other at a park table filled with lunchboxes they prepared together. Previously, Park Yoon Sung drew attention by boldly asking, “Why don’t you go out with me just three times—as a man?” Following his confession, curiosity grows over what conversation the two will share during their quiet daytime outing. The production team shared, “In Episode 8, Sun Tae Hyung feels increasingly uneasy about Sun Gyu Tae’s constant presence, while also experiencing inner conflict as he begins to sense his father’s sincerity. Please look forward to whether their relationship will finally begin to change.” Episode 8 of “Our Universe” airs on February 26 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
Park Sung Woong Is Caught Off Guard By A Sudden Turn To Farm Life In New Drama “Cabbage Your Life” Poster
KBS2’s upcoming drama “Cabbage Your Life” has unveiled its first poster! “Cabbage Your Life” follows the chaotic story about Sung Tae Hoon’s city family, who suddenly end up in Yeonriri village, as they struggle to return to Seoul. The poster features Sung Tae Hoon (Park Sung Woong) standing alone in the middle of a field, dressed neatly in a suit. His city-ready suit, paired with crooked sunglasses and a tie fluttering in the wind, hints at the rural initiation awaiting a seasoned office worker. His face, filled with disbelief, embarrassment, and helplessness, seems to question whether this is where he belongs. Adding to the intrigue, the phrase, “Life, in an instant, drops onto a dirt road!” raises questions about how a department manager at a major corporation was suddenly forced to move to Yeonriri and take up farming overnight. The production team said, “With the first poster, we aimed to clearly capture the comic tone of the series. The image of Sung Tae Hoon, dressed in a suit and standing in the middle of a field, symbolizes the starting point of ‘Cabbage Your Life.’ Through actor Park Sung Woong’s unexpected charm as he transforms into a farmer, and the chaotic adjustment of his city-bred family, we hope to deliver both laughter and healing. Please give it a lot of interest.” “Cabbage Your Life” premieres on March 26 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
