Kim Hye Yoon Joins Lee Chae Min In Talks For K-Drama Adaptation Of "The Miracles Of The Namiya General Store"
Kim Hye Yoon may star in the Korean drama adaptation of the Japanese hit novel “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” along with Lee Chae Min! On February 10, a media outlet reported that Kim Hye Yoon will star in the drama as the female lead. In response to the report, Kim Hye Yoon’s agency stated, “‘The Miracles of the Namiya General Store’ is one of the projects she received an offer for, and she is currently reviewing it.” “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” is one of bestselling author Higashino Keigo’s best-known novels. It tells the story of three thieves who hide out in the Namiya General Store—a place where the past and present are connected—and, as they write replies to letters asking for advice, come face-to-face with the secret behind a miracle-like connection that intertwines with their own lives. It was previously reported that Lee Chae Min is in talks for the male lead role, while Moon Sang Min is also considering making a special appearance. The Korean drama adaptation of “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” is expected to run for around 10 episodes and is currently in the pre-production stage. “The King’s Warden” is off to a strong start at the box office! Ever since its release on February 4, the new historical film starring Park Ji Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin has enjoyed an uninterrupted five-day streak at No. 1 at the Korean box office. On February 9, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before (February 8), “The King’s Warden” had officially reached a total of 1,118,508 moviegoers—meaning that it took just five days to hit the 1 million mark. “The King’s Warden” is the first Korean film to center on the story of King Danjong (Park Ji Hoon), the sixth king of Joseon. After ascending the throne at age 12, Danjong was ultimately dethroned by his uncle Grand Prince Suyang and exiled to Cheongnyeongpo in Gangwon Province, where he met his tragic end. Set in 1457, the film follows village chief Eom Heung Do (Yoo Hae Jin), who voluntarily transforms his village into an exile site to revitalize its future, and the unexpected bond he forms with the young dethroned king. Kim Hye Yoon And Lomon Continue Their Good Deeds On Lee Si Woo's Behalf In "No Tail To Tell"
SBS’s “No Tail to Tell” has shared a glimpse of tonight’s new episode! “No Tail to Tell” is a fantasy romance starring Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Ho, a quirky Gen Z gumiho (magical nine-tailed fox) who is determined not to become human, and Lomon as Kang Si Yeol, an overly confident world-class soccer player. The drama follows the chaotic journey of the two as they attempt to save one another. Spoilers In the previous episode, Pal Mi Ho (eight-tailed fox) (Lee Si Woo) proposed a way for everyone to return to their rightful places—suggesting that after she becomes a gumiho and switches fates with Eun Ho, Eun Ho, once she regained her powers, could restore Kang Si Yeol’s destiny. Although Eun Ho initially strongly opposed the idea after being reminded of Geum Ho, she eventually decided to follow Pal Mi Ho’s wishes and began a good-deeds project in her place. The newly released photos show Eun Ho and Kang Si Yeol under warm sunlight, shaking out bedding together and hanging laundry to dry. It creates a romantic atmosphere like a scene from a movie, but Eun Ho’s facial expression is actually sulky—like a child forced to do a chore they don’t want to do.
