Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on February 7! ENHYPEN’s latest mini album “THE SIN: VANISH” spent its second consecutive week at No. 1 on the World Albums chart, in addition to charting for a second week on the Billboard 200. Including “THE SIN : VANISH,” ENHYPEN once again landed a total of three entries on the World Albums chart this week. Their 2024 album “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” climbed back up to No. 19 in its 81st week on the chart, while their 2025 mini album “DESIRE : UNLEASH” rounded out its 35th week on the chart at No. 21. Meanwhile, Stray Kids landed a total of five entries on this week’s World Albums chart. Their latest album “DO IT” held steady at No. 2, followed by “KARMA” at No. 7 in its 23rd week, “合 (HOP)” at No. 11 in its 59th week, “ATE” at No. 18 in its 80th week, and “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” at No. 24 in its 71st week. BTS also landed three albums on this week’s chart: their 2022 anthology album “Proof” rose to No. 3 in its 190th week on the chart, with their 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7” climbing to No. 9 in its 158th week and their 2018 album “Love Yourself: Tear” jumping to No. 17 in its 211th week. CORTIS’s debut EP “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES” climbed back up to No. 4 in its 21st week on the chart, while ILLIT’s “bomb” took No. 10 in its 32nd week. Finally, BTS’s Jimin’s solo album “MUSE” rose to No. 13 in its 80th week on the chart, with NewJeans’ “Get Up” staying strong at No. 16 in its 125th week. Congratulations to all of the artists!
February Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for male idol groups! The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from January 7 to February 7. BTS continued their reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 9,903,378, marking a 24.16 percent increase in their score since January. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “Gwanghwamun concert,” and “ARIRANG,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “return,” “stream live,” and “love.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.49 percent positive reactions. Stray Kids rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 3,674,527, marking a 3.40 percent increase in their score since last month. Meanwhile, EXO came in at a close third for February with a brand reputation index of 3,469,533. BIGBANG took fourth place with a brand reputation index of 2,372,782, marking a 13.08 percent rise in their score since January. Finally, SEVENTEEN rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,321,728. Upcoming film “Pavane” has unveiled a new poster and teaser! Based on the best-selling novel “Pavane for a Dead Princess,” “Pavane” tells the story of three young adults struggling to love themselves. As these emotionally closed-off individuals find solace in each other’s company and slowly become a ray of light for one another, they ultimately learn to face life and love again. The newly released main poster features Mi Jung (Go Ah Sung), Yo Han (Byun Yo Han), and Gyeong Rok (Moon Sang Min) taking a selfie together—as though capturing a precious moment of youth that will never come again. Mi Jung, who always stayed in the shadows to avoid people’s uncomfortable stares, is smiling brightly unlike her usual self, heightening curiosity about her story as she meets Yo Han and Gyeong Rok and slowly begins to open the closed door of her heart. Yo Han also adds free-spirited energy with his signature playful smile. Gyeong Rok, a young man living in reality after giving up on his dream of becoming a dancer, piques curiosity with eyes that seem indifferent yet carry a hint of a smile—prompting questions about what changes he will undergo after meeting Mi Jung and Yo Han. The main trailer opens with Yo Han’s narration: “All love is a misunderstanding—a misunderstanding that that person is different from everyone else and a misunderstanding that it will last forever,” foreshadowing a sweet yet bittersweet youth romance. One day, Gyeong Rok finds his gaze repeatedly drawn to Mi Jung, who has a distinctive aura. The gentle piano melody flowing between the two deepens the sense of immersion in the moment when love begins. Meanwhile, Yo Han’s appearance as he advises Gyeong Rok not to approach Mi Jung too lightly may seem carefree and purely cheerful with silly jokes and playful humor, but at the same time, this highlights his own deep insight and multidimensional charms. However, the more Gyeong Rok gets to know Mi Jung, the more certain he becomes of his own feelings, and the sight of the two sharing a happy moment together brings a warm smile to viewers’ faces as well. Mi Jung’s narration—“You called me up when I was in pitch-black darkness”—gently soaks the scene with emotion, conveying her tender feelings toward Gyeong Rok, who unhesitatingly approached her as she hid in the shadows to avoid people’s uncomfortable stares and who shone a beam of light her way. “Pavane” will be released on Netflix on February 20.

It’s official: DAY6’s Young K is joining the cast of tvN’s “Amazing Saturday”! On February 6, tvN confirmed reports that Young K had joined the popular variety show as a new member of the fixed cast. “Young K is joining ‘Amazing Saturday’ as a fixed member,” stated a representative of the network. “He is currently in the midst of filming.” Young K’s first episode of “Amazing Saturday,” which is being filmed today, will air on February 28. The star-studded cast of “Amazing Saturday” currently includes Shin Dong Yup, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Block B’s P.O, Moon Se Yoon, Kim Dong Hyun, Boom, Nucksal, and Hanhae. Both Park Na Rae and SHINee’s Key stepped down from the show this past December.

“Choir Of God” Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers
“Choir of God” has surpassed 1 million moviegoers! According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing network, the film officially surpassed 1 million moviegoers on January 4. The film opened in a relatively small number of theaters and has written a dramatic story of rising from fifth place to first at the box office, fueled entirely by audience support. Since its release, it has also held the top spot for weekend seat occupancy for four consecutive weeks. “Choir of God” tells the story of a fake choir formed in North Korea as part of a foreign currency-earning scheme, leading to a series of unexpected events.
