PURPLE KISS Announces Dates And Cities For Final Tour Before November Disbandment
PURPLE KISS has revealed the dates and cities for their upcoming U.S. tour “A Violet to Remember”! On August 24 local time, PURPLE KISS announced their plans for their final tour before their impending disbandment in November. PURPLE KISS’s “A Violet to Remember” tour will take them to 13 cities across the United States: after kicking things off in Charlotte on October 5, the group will perform in Washington, DC on October 7, Philadelphia on October 8, New York City on October 10, Boston on October 11, Columbus on October 13, Detroit on October 14, Chicago on October 16, Minneapolis on October 18, Kansas City on October 20, Dallas on October 22, Los Angeles on October 25, and San Jose on October 28. Ahead of the tour, PURPLE KISS will be releasing their first English-language album, “OUR NOW,” on August 31 at 6 p.m. KST. Earlier this month, RBW announced that PURPLE KISS would be disbanding in November after four years together. However, the agency also stated that in the months ahead of their official disbandment, the group would be releasing an English album, promoting in Japan, touring the United States, and holding a concert in Korea. Is PURPLE KISS coming to a city near you?

BIGHIT MUSIC’s new boy group CORTIS has shared a closer look at the choreographies for their debut tracks! On August 24, CORTIS released “Moving version” dance practice videos for their pre-debut single “GO!” and their debut track “What You Want.” In contrast to the group’s previously released “Fix version” dance practice videos, which offered full views of the high-energy choreographies for both songs, the new videos include close-up shots of the members’ facial expressions as well. BTS’s Jungkook has achieved an impressive new feat on YouTube! According to BIGHIT MUSIC, on August 24 at 2:24 a.m. KST, Jungkook’s music video for his 2023 solo hit “Standing Next to You” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube. With this latest achievement, all three of Jungkook’s music videos from his solo debut album “GOLDEN”—“Seven” (featuring Latto), “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow), and “Standing Next to You”—have now reached 200 million views, making him the first K-pop soloist ever to hit the 200 million mark with three official music videos from the same album. Jungkook originally released the music video for “Standing Next to You” on November 3, 2023 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took just over one year, nine months, and 20 days to reach the milestone. HUNTR/X's "Golden" Becomes 1st K-Pop Song To Top UK's Official Singles Chart For 3 Weeks
HUNTR/X’s “Golden” continues its record-breaking streak at No. 1 in the United Kingdom! For the week of August 21 to 27, “Golden”—the smash hit by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X from the film “KPop Demon Hunters” (sung by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami)—remained No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in the United States) for the second week in a row. “Golden” has now spent a total of three non-consecutive weeks at the top of the chart, extending its own record as the K-pop song with the most weeks at No. 1. Meanwhile, several other songs from the soundtrack of “KPop Demon Hunters” rose to new peaks on the Official Singles Chart this week. Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” (sung by Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, U-KISS’s Kevin Woo, and samUIL Lee) reached a new all-time high of No. 3, while Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” climbed to No. 6 and TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung’s version of “Takedown” jumped to No. 31.
